The one thing I am passionate about...
Gardening and my bird feeders, surprising the little neighbor kids with small little gifts, swimming and tanning. I love being a Grandmother, but do wish I could spend more time with them, I am 2 hours driving time from them. Selling on Ebay and garage sales. I enjoy crafts, "Stamping", and sewing, so enjoy making things for my friends that I know they would like, but also making things for myself. In the Winter, I love making snowmen and have a neighborhood reputation to do so, one year I made an ice rink! There simply is not just one area. Sometimes it just could depend on the moment.
I typically spend my leisure time
I have a lot of garden space, so come Spring I pretty much like to work on my flowers and herb garden. When I sit back to decide where plants will go, I have several bird feeders, so it's fun to watch them come and go and the variety changes every season, I have a bird book marked with every bird I've seen. My house is by a bluff area so it's wide open territory for birds and "critters". I do love laying in the sun mostly at the lake nearby, or just in an inflatable pool to keep cool while tanning! I like fishing, garage sales, and selling on Ebay.
The most influential person in my life has been
Trust and companionship that gives unconditionally. I guess that's two things; however, if I had to choose one quality it would be TRUST!
The first thing people notice about me
I talk a lot! However, that is in the sense of talking to people when I'm at the lake, a park, or out shopping and whether they are young or old. You do find out they are looking for someone to talk to, also and my gosh some of the stories older couples will be happy to share with you! I enjoy talking to people.
The last book I read and enjoyed
Mid-1800 World Atlas and an 1889 Wisconsin Atlas. The information in both, detail and colors used where impressive. As I do find books at garage sales, I found an 1921 Uncle Remus His Stories and Songs. I read the books first to research them, and sometimes want to keep them for myself. Other than that, Danielle Steel and LaVeryle Spencer are my favorites and have all their books. I was disappointed in reading LaVeryle Spencer's last book, as she was retiring from writing. She lives in Stillwater, MN, one of my favorite places to hang out in the summer by the river! I guess I enjoyed all the books, not just one.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- My daughter and 2 grandsons
- Having a nice home and neighborhood to live in
- My best friend, Barb
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
I'm not sure, how would you know what they didn't notice? If you just met someone, as I do at the lake or park, I'm not really thinking about what they would notice, so to speak. It's just nice to have a friendly conversation just for the heck of it and have someone to talk to. You do learn something new every time! Quite possibly, the people I meet they do too!
Friends Describe me as
Affectionate, Creative, Loyal, Respectful
A little more about me
I love to look at the stars at night. Where I live it's an incredible view. I'm still working on all the constellations, as I used to know them all in high school. I listen carefully, maybe sometimes giving advise or suggestions and other times I just listen when I know that's all I should do. I love to cook and have my own cookbook. I love fishing and can fillet them maybe better than the guys! I have the ability to share and talk about whatever the moment brings, and I'm sure have enough differences to keep those talks interesting! I never take anyone for granted. I'm trusting, compassionate, dedicated, and supportive.
