The one thing I am passionate about...
ME...? Seeks a long-term partner; NOT a one-time shag;? Schoolmarm with BS Bio, MSc Bio, MA Educ;? Fernweh soul (37 countries; 5 continents);? Europhile - EU/UK resident wannabe;? Hedonist with gadabout lifestyle;? Dual citizen in need of 3rd passport;? Zero marriage, nil child;? Wales rugby supporter;? Germany football follower;? Trivia / pub quiz nerd;? Pretentious polyglot;? Cheeky and politically incorrect, most times;? Proponent of socialism over capitalism;? Chowhound extraordinaire;? Cider, sour beer, red wine enthusiast;? Netflix, subtitled, indie movies fiend.
I typically spend my leisure time
Dining and hanging out with friends in San Francisco to see shows and games, traveling (if I could move to any major city in the EU, I will), and experimenting in the kitchen.
The most influential person in my life has been
YOU...(as much as possible)? Don't have kid/s or they're grown and far away;? Work full or part-time;? Thrive as a global citizen;? Hold a bachelor's degree, at the least;? Support a rugby union or football/soccer team; I can't be bothered with the NFL, MLB, and NBA;...Be an all-around nice and decent man then perhaps, all of the above become negotiable.
The first thing people notice about me
Would a smile be considered a part of my appearance? If it's not then I've been told I have a megawatt smile. Other than that it should be that I always talk fast.
The last book I read and enjoyed
Ever since I came back from my holidays in Marrakech, I've been hooked on reading any fictional books set in Maroc or written by a Moroccan. There's something mysterious about the Jemaa el Fna, the medina, and Essaouira that magnetizes me. So now I'm not just infatuated with the country and its people, but also its literature.*I started reading Crime and Punishment while in Warsaw this summer. Tell me, why is it such a complicated read? Is it because I'm bilingual that I have to re-read a lengthy passage just to understand what it said or was Dostoevsky being too conceited that he didn't want anyone into his mind?
The three things which I am most thankful for
- My family, friends, and the relationship I have with them.
- The stability of my job that lets me do and afford what I enjoy in life.
- My values and education background that molded me into who I am and gave me options as to what to believe in.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
I care a lot.
Friends Describe me as
Funny, Intelligent, Outgoing, Spontaneous
A little more about me
Trivial but I could sing the national anthem of 11 countries. It comes in handy when watching rugby and football matches so I'm not seen as taking any side and get the irk of some die-hard fans.
