The one thing I am passionate about...
I am passionate about my family. Although I don't have any children I am very close to my nephews and love them dearly. I am passionate about any creative outlet such as photography, gardening, writing, travel. I love to take drives and be in nature. I enjoy gardening and seeing how beautiful something I plant can become with my help. I love to write and I love movies and music. I love being with my friends and meeting new people who have similar interests. I have many passions. I love to be around other passionate people who can share information on subjects I love.
I typically spend my leisure time
I enjoy nature photography immensely and hope to pursue it more seriously. I love to travel and have enjoyed the ability to do so in the past but still have so many places I want to see. I love to garden and try creative outlets like writing. I've always been a very social person who liked to keep busy but I realize that the world is so busy now I need to take better care of myself so I enjoy walks with my dog, listening to music and just taking it easy.
The most influential person in my life has been
Honesty. I have to be able to trust this person. I sometimes live a little idealistically and believe that the world is fair, which we all know it's not. I need the person I'm with to be someone who will be honest and I know will be on my side and whom accepts that we will not keep things from one another.
The first thing people notice about me
Most people notice my eyes which is of course part of my appearance, but then they notice I am generally very outgoing and love to laugh and talk.
The last book I read and enjoyed
Eat, Pray, LoveIt was a woman's story of traveling through Italy, India and Indonesia over a years time after the end of her marriage and how she came out the other side, healed and a completely new person. It made me want to book a flight.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- My family, which includes my parents, brother, sister-in-law and nephews. They give me strength.
- My love for learning and knowledge. At this age I am learning so much more about the world than I ever did in school.
- My sense of humor. It has helped me make friends of strangers and survive situations that would be unbearable without it.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
That I'm very genuine. I don't play games or "act" when I meet someone. I am very open and what you see is what you get. As an adult, it's harder to make friends and I meet a lot of distrusting, cynical people who think you have an agenda. Eventually, they realize I'm just an outgoing friendly girl who loves people.
Friends Describe me as
Articulate, Funny, Genuine, Thoughtful
A little more about me
I probably spend too much time on the internet. I am constantly intrigued by something I read in the paper or see on TV so I will look it up online. Or I will see a movie about a real person and then google them just to learn more. I have to research anything I buy so I love the internet. I can get lost in learning about Italy or researching which are the best flowers to grow in the Northwest. I don't know how I survived before it existed.
