More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I'm so grateful and lucky to be able to support myself through writing, and I'm extremely invested in children's literacy. I've just started trying to teach myself to really cook (farewell, Seamless!), too, which has been... um, well, I'm working on it.

I typically spend my leisure time

I really love taking long walks and exploring different parts of the city, but I'm one of those people who make a living off of what used to be their hobby, so, really, the bulk of my time is spent drafting or brainstorming future projects (or, let's be real, playing with my puppy). I'm also a pretty avid reader and can marathon a TV show like no one's business.

The most influential person in my life has been

I value kindness and understanding above all else. I'm looking for a true partner and a friend--my lobster! We don't have to agree on everything (where's the fun in that?), or live in each other's pockets, but a few shared interests and a mutual respect are key.

The first thing people notice about me

I have a dry sense of humor and I try not to take life (or myself!) too seriously. I'm also absurdly knowledgeable about Star Wars and science fiction, thanks to my dad.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Currently reading The Martian and, man, I get the hype.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My family and friends
  2. My career
  3. Chipotle Burrito Bowls

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

Because I was so shy growing up--and still am, to a certain extent--sometimes people see me as being a little standoffish or aloof. In reality, I'm actually pretty goofy (and nerdy!) and I love taking care of my friends and family.
