More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

This question says it all except the order. Faith, family, toss up between sports and music. I am passionate about both of them but in different ways. It's difficult to explain except one speaks to the heart and soul and that is music. Sports, like the crescendo in an aria has it's heart throbbing highs and lows and sometimes the best man/woman doesn't always win. The environment? Show me a beautiful waterfall, the ocean, the mountains in Lagunitas, California, a field of flowers, looking out over a mountain top and taking in the fresh air is what music and sometimes sports can do to me, it feeds the soul.

I typically spend my leisure time

After working 15 hour days as a nurse I always need 24 hours to vegg out and do nothing. Once I have a few days off I love to go work out

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. That I was brought up and with the family I was blessd to call my brothers and sisters (8) others. The love and relationships with my parents and grandmother as well as my extended family and life. The love and understanding from a mother who came from nothing and brought her own 9 children into this life without judgement as well as anyone who ever walked into her home and her life. She was never without the love of people around her as well as my father and grandmother. Sounds mushy but it is all true. She always knew what to say and do. My parents were always surrounded by love which money could never buy.
  2. The absolute honor and previlege I have had to bring up a daughter that has such respect, selfesteem, love for others and understanding of self and life like I could ever imagine. The fact that this woman has more to teach me in my lifetime than I could ever would and could have thought. She continues to teach me that success is not in cars, money (though it helps in life obviously) but without self respect and sticking to your principals, being true to yourself and others you have nothing. I cant say enough about my daughter. I have been blessed more than I could ever have imagined!
  3. I am completely grateful for my sisters and very close friends. They have taught me the importanct of friendship, support during those very tough times in life and the value of sticking together and being their for each other. They have helped me when I have great joy in my life, the best laughs and girls weekends and have show and taught me the value of self, friendship, commitment to each other and our families and to be true always. My mother has brought us all into this world with commitment to family, self, life, children, friends and left that with all of her children. I believe that has been the best character builder ever.
