More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am a pretty social person so my personal relationships are very important to me. I have chosen a career that allows me to work on issues and with communities that I feel a deep commitment to. I am also quite passionate when it comes to my favorite sports teams and love going to live sporting events. And I am lucky enough to be able to travel extensively and often get the itch to hit the road if I have been at home too long. WIth that said, one of my favorite things to is to hang at home cook up a good meal, have friends over (or go to their place), drink a little too much wine and swap stories.

I typically spend my leisure time

Spending time with friends and family; listening to a really good joke or story teller (or trying to do so myself); reading a book (range from Sedaris to Morrison to the Twilight books); finishing the NY Times crossword puzzle (I don't do that as often as I would like); Eating; exercising (helps with the eating)

The first thing people notice about me

That the flesh and blood version is much better than the electronic version

The last book I read and enjoyed

"Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" by Jane Austen and Seth Grahame-Smith. Comedy of manners + zombies = a fun summer read! I have thing for the zombie genre. At the same time I read "State of Blood" about Idi Amin's reign of terror in Uganda...I like to mix it up

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My ability to make and maintain strong friendships
  2. The fact that I have a job that I love, allows me to work on issues that I am passionate about and one that am proud to talk about
  3. The opportunities that I have/had to travel the world

Friends Describe me as

Caring, Funny, Genuine, Outgoing
