More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I love reading, art and traveling. I especially love when I can travel with friends and usually have something in the works. Currently, I am planning a trip to Costa Rica for later this year to see Arenal, the jungle and beaches. We are going to rent a car and navigate our way around the country. I have a great many friends in my life and I enjoy spending time with them and/or family. And lastly, I really love going wine tasting, and like it when I can do it while traveling. I was recently on the Canadian side of Niagra Falls and went wine tasting there. It was an experience!

I typically spend my leisure time

In my leisure time, I enjoy reading, cooking, visiting friends, seeing movies, and traveling. I also enjoy trying new things and will try almost anything once. For example, I once tried surfing and swallowed a whole lot of ocean that day. Once was good. I've also tried a barbecued silk worm - again, once was good. So, who knows what the next adventure will be. Some things stick. And some things, like the silk worm, I simply move on from. And lastly, I also do some volunteer work with a girls group home.

The most influential person in my life has been

He makes me laugh.

The first thing people notice about me

My friendliness.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I am currently reading The Girl who Played with Fire. This is a Swedish mystery that was recently translated into English and is quite fun! It is a sequel to The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, which was made into a movie, of which I am waiting to see. It doesn't appear to be currently available yet in the U.S., but the anticipation is fun! However, the best book I ever read (so far) is The Club Dumas by Arturo Perez-Reverte.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. I have really fabulous friends that have been in my life for a long time and I imagine will be for a long time to come.
  2. I can talk to my parents about just nearly anything.
  3. I get to work with my friends.

Friends Describe me as

Creative, Generous, Happy, Perceptive
