More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I enjoy reading, mostly news and periodicals but I do enjoy a good novel perhaps once a month. I love to go out and have a beer or 4 with friends and perhaps some pub trivia. I would say I am wary of the unknown at times. Anytime a friend drags me to a new experience though, I'd say I am happy. I may decide I like it or not, but it's all new to me.

I typically spend my leisure time

I mostly read the news. I can't get enough of what's going on in the world. I love to read about new discoveries in science. It's so interesting. I also might hang out with my friends and perhaps go to Philadelphia for some drinks. I love to try out new wheat beers at different places. The rest of what I do with my leisure time is a bit eclectic and I can't really pin down one thing I do most often.

The most influential person in my life has been

It's so hard to say what the most important quality is when looking at other people. It's a mix of kindness, passion and intimacy. I'd say the most important thing to me, is that we both compliment each other. I don't need, and possibly don't want, someone to be just like me.

The first thing people notice about me

My mention of slightly relevant facts and figures. Now if only I could use my knowledge of vague and useless trivia for something!

The last book I read and enjoyed

"Endgame" by Derrick Jensen. I absolutely hated it. To boil it down, the author believes humanity is a blight on the earth and that civilization should be dismantled. I much prefer Jared Diamond's views over Derrick Jensen's. At least Jared thinks we have time to learn from the mistakes of past societies.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Having a good life so far.
  2. Wanting to know more about... everything!
  3. Being happy in my work.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I'm not slow, I just can't hear anything when the music is this loud.

Friends Describe me as
