The one thing I am passionate about...
Politics, art (consuming, not producing), technology.I also have a burgeoning passion for philosophy, but due to my still limited reading of the subject, I fear my passion may still be simmering in the "pseudo-philosophy" stage.
I typically spend my leisure time
I spend most of my time using the Internet, mainly to communicate. "Virtual hanging-out", I suppose. The rest of my leisure time is devoted to watching movies, listening to music, and of course, hanging out with friends in the "real" world.
The most influential person in my life has been
Intelligence, being able to express it effectively, and open-mindedness. However, I would rather let a person show me that their qualities are important, rather than tell them what I find to be important. I am looking for a person I love for a reason I *cannot* put my finger on, and am instead left trying to define what it is exactly I am looking for. "Looking for what to look for" is a nice way of saying it.
The first thing people notice about me
I don't know, because the only way I would know this is if I opened conversation with that very question, which would tend to drive people away. But they probably notice my somewhat lopsided engagement in conversation. I often hold back in group conversation until a topic that interests me comes up, and then talk up a storm.
The last book I read and enjoyed
Thus Spoke Zarathustra. It is a philosophical work, and was more or less about everything. I enjoyed most Nietzsche's writing style and his sharp wit. His philosophy, while lacking some rigor (there were a few to many "This is how it is because I say so" passages), was thought-provoking nonetheless.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- My personal outlook on life.
- My life itself.
- The "standard stuff"? Health, family, friends, etc. I never really reflect on what I am thankful for, so when the time comes for me to answer this question, I tend to draw a blank.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
I am a highly motivated person, I just happened motivated by different things than most people. My laid-back attitude does not mean I like drive or passion. I am an "outside-the-box" thinker, and as such I tend to move at a different pace (and direction) than other people.
Friends Describe me as
Easy-Going, Funny, Intelligent, Rational
A little more about me
Nothing. Everything else is quite awful, really. As a final note, I realize now that many other people use the "air/food/water" joke in their "cannot live without section", and even more the "but then I would have to kill you" gag in the answer above.A beautiful and unique snowflake, I am not.
