More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I love almost nothing more than a good book. I like to find new and interesting local activities to participate in (especially with my daughter). I love live music and sporting events (Go Buckeyes!). I will try just about anything once. Classic things like going out for dinner and drinks or renting a movie and hanging out are great too!

I typically spend my leisure time

I try to find things that both my daughter and I can enjoy ( the zoo, park, library, live shows, sports, movies, etc.) If I'm not with her, I enjoy reading or catching up on my DVR.

The most influential person in my life has been

I think that at the end of the day, it would be nice to be sharing things with the same person. I want someone who is a "teammate". We should be open and honest and work together!

The first thing people notice about me

I am generally shy in new situations. I like to feel things out before I let my guard down. Unfortunately, that doesn't always make for the best first impression. It doesn't take long for that to wear off and people generally find themselves comfortable opening up to me and confiding things they may normally not (or so I've been told).

The last book I read and enjoyed

I tend to be reading more than one thing at a time. I really enjoy the classics. The last one I read was "The Portrait of Dorian Gray". It was a little out there, but sometimes that what makes a book worth reading. I like to have funny books with short stories available for time fillers or quick pick-me-ups "I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell" was the last funny book I read. Absolutely hilarious. I love dry humor. I like nonfiction just for edification. I read "On Killing" to better understand soldiers (long personal history there). And I read bestsellers to see what all the hype is about. I read the "Twilight" books and loved them.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. A happy, healthy child
  2. A loving, dependable family
  3. Close network of friends

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I think most people just take what they see at face value. I am an extremely multi-faceted person. I wish more people understood that. I could just as easily be drinking a beer at a football game as I could be going out for sushi and a trip to a museum.
