More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Helping others and seeing how best I can make them happy. In nearly every situation, my first instict is to wonder at how the affected person feels about whatever happened to them, and how they can feel better about it if it's made them feel negatively. I also really like reading, and reading about anything. I have taken a lot of spanish, and like to read Pablo Neruda's love poetry, which is much better when read in its original language. Music is very important to me as well, and when the singer or artist is very passionate about what they are saying, that comes through, and makes me love the music even more.

I typically spend my leisure time

SLEEP! :) I don't get near enough sleep as a college student, so I take it where I can. I also really enjoy taking little walks when the weather is nice, or even when it isnt nice. It's just nice to be outside sometimes in a world that keeps you stuck in classrooms at 50 minutes intervals. I am also an avid people watcher. People are incredibly, incredibly fascinating, and the things that people will say sometimes in public when they dont realize that they are being watched are incredibly interesting. Also, there's just a lot of beautiful people in the world. It's a plus of being a people-watcher.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My family. I've been through some pretty rough spots, but they've always been there for me. They will always be a big part of my life.
  2. Sunny days with cool breezes. Sometimes, everything is just right. You wake up feeling great, you feel hopeful and excited for whatever is happening that day, and to top it off, its a beautiful day outside. The trees are incredibly green, the sky is mind-shockingly blue, and everything is just beauitful. The sun and the wind on your skin feel better than almost anything else I can possibly think of. Days like that make you wish life was like a musical and everyone would burst out into song and dance with you just because you feel really awesome that day.
  3. My friends. Again, I've been through some rough spots in my short life, and they made me realize who my real friends were. If you can see someone at their absolute worse and tell them that they're beautiful and that you love them anyway, that's being a real friend. I wouldn't trade the few that i have for anything, and I'd rather just have a few than be that girl that everyone knows and is "friends" with. There's too much falsity involved with that kind of a thing, and even though I'm young, I'm already tired of playing games. That's why I love how honest and genuine my circle of friends are.
