More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I have an interest in several things. Celebrities and Hollywood in general fascinates me. I love movies and I am always finding new, often obscure musical artists that I fall in love with very quickly. I love to read and often pick up on useless trivia, which helps me later on when playing games like Trivial Pursuit. I love to go to live music and art shows and museums, also.

I typically spend my leisure time

I like to sleep in on the weekends because I don't get a lot of sleep during the week. Shopping, going out to eat are things I like doing when I have time/money to do so, but most often I enjoy just vegging out on the couch with a good book or a good movie.

The most influential person in my life has been

Someone who "gets" me. It's a generalization, sure, but I have been told that I can be sometimes hard to read, or on the flip side I often come off as being cold and/or abrasive when really I'm not. In other words, if I don't like/agree with something, I'm gonna tell you. I can also be quite sarcastic and I have a weird sense of humor; the person I end up with has to be able to tell when I'm being sarcastic/weird/goofy and when I'm being serious. And they have to like to laugh. I like to laugh all the time.

The first thing people notice about me

That I appear standoffish. I'm not. I just like to observe what's going on before I jump into a conversation with people I've just met.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I am currently reading Moonwalk, which is the only autobiography Michael Jackson ever wrote. He wrote it in 1987, when he was 29 years old, and it's very interesting. Of course, I'm a big fan of his as it is, so I may be a little biased.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My family. They're always there when I need them. I'm not sure what I'd do if they weren't.
  2. My god-given talents. Sure, I may not be making a career out of writing right now, but I'm thankful that I'll always have it to fall back on if need be.
  3. My health.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I'm totally not unapproachable. I hate it when people just stare, like they think I'm going to bite or something (I'm not). Hello, come talk to me! You'll be glad you did.
