More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

In free association format: learning, reading, psychology, people, art, drawing, water colors, poetry, traveling, ideas, photography, Emerald Bay, spirituality, creativity, dreaming, imagination, outside and around the box, intelligent conversations, long walks, stars, wonder, the autumn, the beach, the mountains, relaxing, laughing, meditation, forgiveness, Buddhist Philosophy, having more questions than answers, and Indian culture.

I typically spend my leisure time

I enjoy going out with my friends, reading, drawing and painting. I also love spending time outdoors, traveling and trying new and random things.

The most influential person in my life has been

The most important thing is for me is finding someone who I have a good connection with...it is difficult to say exactly what characteristics this person will possess. It is more about the feelings I have when I meet someone.

The first thing people notice about me

...that I am an avid people watcher and psychology nerd. My random and extensive sense of humor (consider yourself warned!) My ambidexterity and affection for writing implements, chai and art supplies. Also, that I can spend hours in a book store, but I suppose you wouldn't notice that at first...

The last book I read and enjoyed

The Road, by Cormac McCarthy. A post-apocalyptic story of a father and son traveling across a decimated land. Initially, I didn't enjoy this book, and I put it down after several pages. I must confess, McCarthy's use (or rather non-use) of punctuation can be challenging to get into, however, on my second try I could hardly put the book down. His descriptive and succinct use of language is very engaging, when one is in the mood for such pacing. I also enjoy books by Wally Lamb, Amy Tan, Jhumpa Lahiri, and Paulo Coelho to name a few.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Always having the support of my family and friends.
  2. The experiences in my life, which have led me to this point
  3. My health and my family's health.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

My quirky brand of courage.

Friends Describe me as
