The one thing I am passionate about...
I am passionate about ideas and people that I love. And dogs, especially. And dolphins, who I think of as the Labrador Retrievers of the sea. And anything at all related to the sea. I am considering taking in a Great Dane named Goofy.I love swimming, and was on the varsity swimming team at the University of Chicago. I am a neurologist. How many fields are there with disorders like a hand that keeps trying to strangle the owner of the hand, no matter how much the owner tries to stop it? How about being convinced that one's loved ones have been replaced by doppelgngers? It beats asthma, doesn't it?
I typically spend my leisure time
I would love to go fishing.I love animals, so anything related to a place like SeaWorld, or a zoo, or anything at all involving dogs, would be great with me.I would rather go to an interesting lecture than I would a restaurant where the live music is too loud to talk. Though I do love great food, anywhere from Eggs Benedict at The Original Pancake House to sushi at the best place in town.If I could get my bike fixed up, I would love to bike ride.I love classical music, especially baroque.I haven't been to a play in a long time, but would love that. Same thing in regard to movies, the ballet and opera.
The most influential person in my life has been
I am looking for a man of integrity that I can look up to and depend on. Who also is fun and has a sense of adventure. And who is extremely intelligent and capable.I know that I am asking a lot. Basically, looking for a smart, fun person of integrity. And it sure would be nice to have someone around the house with that famed upper body strength to change the water bottles in the water dispenser, and hang things on the wall with those odd doohickeys that fit around the screws.
The first thing people notice about me
Not sure. I'll have to ask.
The last book I read and enjoyed
Grain Brain, by David Perlmutter, MD
The three things which I am most thankful for
- I am proud of my father's unshakable integrity and his unfailing kindness. His love means all.
- My education, as it opened the doors to the "life of the mind" espoused by my alma mater.
- The vacations with extended family, living on Pensacola beach, as it showed me what my goal is.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
I would love to meet more people and spend more time going out with them.
Friends Describe me as
Caring, Energetic, Intelligent, Loyal
A little more about me
Did I mention that I love dogs? I am considering taking in a Great Dane named Goofy, though given my apartment, I should probably consider a Shih-Tzu.
