More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I believe in treating others in the way in which I wish to be treated. Though this is a broad answer it is intentional because it covers so many aspects of what really matters to me. I am honest almost to a fault, though I have become much better at keeping my thoughts to myself when it is in my best interest. My job as a father is the most important job I have and I am deeply proud of the young woman my daughter has become. I have a curious mind that is often seeking answers though not always finding them. Part of that curiosity is I have a broad range of interests that I would enjoy telling you about and learning about yours.

I typically spend my leisure time

Woodworking, fishing, cooking

The most influential person in my life has been

I am optimistically seeking the best relationship of my life because I believe that it is yet to come. Wanting to meet that person that is my best friend, lover and companion. I want to marvel at how at ease I feel around you and look forward to seeing you when we are apart. No one said ever they were looking for someone who was a dishonest, untrustworthy, ugly, cheater. You should be honest, loyal, trustworthy, kind, attractive, take care of your self, and be capable of emotional intimacy. Hopefully you are just as comfortable sleeping in a tent as a nice hotel room, can bait your own hook and wear make up, has a passion for adventure.

The first thing people notice about me

My blue eyes and my dimples.

The last book I read and enjoyed

The Kite Runner, I thought this book had both amazing depth and terrific insights into the human condition. A few other books I have read recently and enjoyed are Water for Elephants, The Art of Racing in the Rain, and Reservation Blues.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My daughter
  2. My profession, it is honorable work that propels the economy forward.
  3. My sobriety, it makes everything else in my life possible.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

That I am funny, though I tend to only show it around those I feel comfortable with.

Friends Describe me as

Kind, Loyal, Passionate, Respectful

A little more about me

I have lived a rich and varied life, I am energetic, enthusiastic for life and optimistic. A sample list of things I have done, hiked on the Pacific Crest Trail, fished commercially in Alaska, played collegiate soccer, traveled in Europe and the U.S., catered a couple of parties for 5000, built high rises and clean rooms. I can cook most anything and often make up my own recipes, I am also a good baker having made some of the more challenging things in the Cake Bible. After devoting the last 20 years to raising kids I am starting to focus on me. I am working hard at becoming fit once again and am enjoying it immensely.
