The one thing I am passionate about...
Learning. I love to experience, read about, or interact in any way with new things. I do this in structured ways such as classes or in unstructured ways such as packing a bag and going somewhere I've never been. I love to talk about things to see new sides to an issue, or new arguments I hadn't considered. I can get really excited about new topics that the mere mention of puts others to sleep.
I typically spend my leisure time
My two biggest leisure activities are probably (in order) reading and games. I love to read a good book, especially at somewhere other than home. I prefer to read in bookstores, coffee shops, restaurants, parks, anywhere not at home. When I AM at home, I tend to pick up a game instead. I adore board games, but since I'm usually home alone anymore they tend to be more video games. Not to say I don't read at home, but when I do it's generally at night right before bed.
The most influential person in my life has been
Someone I can relax around. I want to be able to say the things I think are funny, talk about things I've done, and generally be me. You certainly don't have to laugh at my jokes, or agree with me on any sort of issue, but I don't want to risk an argument over these types of things.
The first thing people notice about me
I smile a lot. I like to smile at people and have them smile back it makes me...well it makes me smile. I don't smile when I think. So often, when I'm thinking about a book I'm reading, or my plans for the evening, or spacing out people ask me what's wrong and why I'm not smiling.
The last book I read and enjoyed
I just finished the Eragon series. It's teen reading about dragons, but it was quite fun. The story was fast paced and interesting, yet the author still managed to deal with significant concepts. I really enjoy books that do more than tell a story. I like a book to give insight into the writer's political, religious, or moral standpoints. Eragon deals with religion and the general morality and justifications for war. I don't always agree, but it's always fun to think about.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- My education. I came from a poor family and the help, both from the institutions I attended and other places, I received made it possible for me to be where I am today.
- Friends and family. Smell the cheese right? Seriously however, my friends and family mean the world to me. I adore them and they make me happy.
- My Cat. Yeah I'm a cat lady in training, the fact that I'm not a lady not withstanding. He makes me laugh, he makes me feel better, and I'm generally happy he's around.

A little more about me
I'm not a server by trade. I mean I've done enough of it that it FEELS like it, but it's not a long term career goal, simply a means to pay some bills while I find the right job.
