More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am most passionate about interacting with others and developing quality relationships with those around me. I pride myself in relating to individuals of all personalities, and using my enthusiasm and positivity to put the best in others. I love traveling to places off the beaten track especially when camping/hiking/canoeing is involved . I love experimenting in the kitchen provided I have fresh herbs to work with. However, be prepared as my food can taste great, the aesthetics could often look disturbing.

I typically spend my leisure time

Running in the wee hours, hiking beautiful trails, scouring the internet, playing ice hockey/roller hockey, Farmers Markets, happy hours, dancing, rocking out to plastic or real instruments, and usually looking for my keys/wallet/phone. I find cooking a nice meal is the most cathartic thing you can do at the end of a long day.

The most influential person in my life has been

I admire moral character (taking the high road), self awareness, and intelligence; someone who is fun-spirited and playful and curious to explore the world around us. She should be looking for a best friend and an equal partner in crime.

The first thing people notice about me

That I adhere to my Canadian stereotype of being overly polite (like when a stranger steps on my foot, my first instinct is to apologize).

The last book I read and enjoyed

When genius failed: the Rise and Fall of Long Term Capital Management.- A group of geniuses that felt they could predict the market and completely eliminate risk. Inevitably this group took increasingly larger risks, while panic in the markets led to its bankruptcy and subsequent bail out within a period of 4 months. I enjoyed the fact the story is so relevant to the problems of today.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. I have the greatest family and friends anyone can ask for. I can't go a day without thanking my lucky stars to have them.
  2. The right temporal lobe - without it music wouldn't sound so awesome.
  3. I'm just thankful to experience life and all that comes with it.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

Isn't this one of those ancient Chinese riddles, like when a tree falls in a forest? There can't be an answer to this question.

Friends Describe me as

Caring, Funny, Passionate, Perceptive

A little more about me

I have a lot in common with expressions that contain an article of clothing (Flying by the seat of my pants and wearing my heart on my sleeve). I approach many passions with energy and enthusiasm, and carry that through my body language and everyday speech. (I use the exclamation point for sentences where it is not deserved!). I appreciate the journey, rather than care about the destination, and draw a firm line between being aggressive and not competitive.

I am
Libertarian
