More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

teaching high school students about architecture and engineering. i'm a bit of kid at heart, but can also be a bit technical and geeky. i like reading good fiction, writing bad fiction, watching sappy romantic comedies, and running. i like traveling to new places and experiencing new things.

I typically spend my leisure time

spending time with friends. traveling and eating at new places. photography, writing.

The most influential person in my life has been

nicerity - someone who is sincere and nice.

The first thing people notice about me

maybe that i'm sincere and thoughtful.

The last book I read and enjoyed

i recently read "The Lovely Bones," and was intrigued with the repetition or recurring idea of being trapped in a perfect world; like a penguin in a snow globe. most of the characters are trapped in this way, and it was interesting to see how these characters did/didn't cope with entrapment. Moved on to... "Extremley Loud & Incredibly Close," a novel about a 9 yr old boy searching to find his father after 9/11. the narrative is an emotional stream of consciousness and 9 yr old pop-slang, but it's a story about how our families define who we are and who we become. it's funny, and powerful, and downright sad..such a cliche review..but true!

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. family and friends
  2. art and architecture
  3. serendipity

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

that i'm just a bit nervous when i first get to know someone.

Friends Describe me as

Affectionate, Creative, Intelligent, Thoughtful
