The one thing I am passionate about...
I love travel and learning foreign languages, as well as immersing myself in as much of a foreign culture as I can. It can blow me away to see how differently others live. Also, business- I believe that it will enable me to reach many of my dreams, and it is a creative outlet as well as a daily challenge. I tell people that my work is mostly "solving problems". It is, and I am doing what I love every day!
I typically spend my leisure time
Depends on my mood!At times I read voraciously from whatever subject or book has caught my fancy. If I'm in more of an active mood I will often round up some friends to go hatch an adventure. I enjoy going out, but definitely prefer to keep it fresh! Also, I am currently organizing a fundraiser and I volunteer with kids in a nearby town.
The most influential person in my life has been
Someone who sees outside the box and thinks for themselves + loves to learn and grow has in their possession a deadly combination. When I meet anyone who has both these qualities, I am definitely interested in knowing more!
The first thing people notice about me
Perhaps the fact that I am usually carrying around a notebook where I jot down thoughts or other people's ideas which strike me as interesting. I've been surprised to have people that I know get a bit upset when I don't write down something that they say :).
The last book I read and enjoyed
"The Monk and The Riddle": A book Written by Randy Komisar, who is, in my opinion, "the man". Through a fictional tale based on real life experience, Randy touches on both business and life philosophy- all the while giving a look into the strange world of venture capital, as well as a valuable and stimulating look into his mind. One of the book's themes was the difference between passion and ambition and he really drove his point home. I believe that understanding this difference has helped (and continues to help) me make better decisions in my life.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- The ability to expand my horizons- and the accompanying joy!
- Individuals of excellence who choose to share their vision with the world.
- The handful of friends who "get" me.
Friends Describe me as
Ambitious, Creative, Energetic, Good listener
A little more about me
*Update*: I am about to start traveling the world, so I will be taking a break from eHarmony -- at least for a while. I also do not currently have a subscription -- sorry. ----------------Haha yeah.... one of my first memories from when I was a little kid was trying to build a bee hive. I caught a bunch of bumble bees in baby food jars and remember my mom interrupting me in the middle of my activities to let all the bees go. Let's just say that I had a bit more fun than her that day.
