More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I would like to go to school and become an artist. While I've actually held a job as a graphic artist and sculptor, I was never formally trained...I would also like to write and illustrate children's books.

I typically spend my leisure time

I exercise daily, except for one or two days a week. (I have come to believe that the pursuit of vibrant health is one of the most important goals a person can have.) I'm working on a book, a fantasy novel somewhere between Tolkien and Rowling. (Good luck with that one, eh?) There's a nature preserve behind where I live, and I love to walk the trails...I like to read, watch movies, and talk with friends over coffee--although eliminating caffeine is on my list of things to do.

The most influential person in my life has been

Honesty--even if it hurts, the truth is always better than a lie. (...Besides, my first answer, "a rockin' body," sounded incredibly superficial...)

The first thing people notice about me

The overpowering aroma of cheese...

The last book I read and enjoyed

Odd Thomas, by Dean Koontz. I've read this book before, and think it would make a wonderful movie. (Shia LaBeouf would make a great Odd Thomas.) It's about a young man with a bizarre gift for seeing the dead. It's funny, adventurous, and ultimately sad. But the best thing about it is that it's a love story. And, let's face it, all the really good stories ARE love stories...except, of course, for, "The Twilight Saga." (Just kidding--I can't get enough of those young vampires in love...Okay, NOW I'm kidding.)

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My family and friends.
  2. My imagination.
  3. My health and the desire to maintain and improve it.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

That I'm not as stupid as I look...well, maybe just a little bit...

Friends Describe me as

Creative, Funny, Sweet, Thoughtful

A little more about me

Initially, I'm quite shy--to the point of appearing mildly retarded. However, after awhile, I can be downright chatty...I tend to favor a belief in reincarnation...I also like to look at the stars...I remember reading once that the entire teachings of the Buddha could be distilled into this one simple statement: "Cease to do evil. Learn to do good. Purify your own mind." I've always loved that, and now try my best to live life accordingly...I've also come to the conclusion that Time and Space, while certainly mysterious from the standpoint of modern physics, are a lot like chocolate chip cookies--best when shared.

What I like to read

Fantasy & Science Fiction

Books I've read

old man's war, the ghost brigades, the last colo
