The one thing I am passionate about...
Expressing myself. I love to doodle on every unimportant scrap of paper available to me and come up with stories that I want to write about one day. God has given me a very healthy imagination and exercising that gift brings me great joy. Outside of that I love to get out and try/see new things. My favorite weekend activities are hiking and canoeing in the warmer months and museums and theatre in the cooler months.
I typically spend my leisure time
I enjoy making fun of movie mistakes. I love to just pick a random direction and to wander, letting the path and the moment lead. I also love to canoe, to daydream, to write, Wiki anything and everything, create 3-D art, and yes, play the occasional video game.
The most influential person in my life has been
A moral center that is firmly rooted in God's convicting spirit is by far the most important quality for which I am looking. Out of that, I value a heart that abstains from even the smallest lie, treats everyone with kindness respect, and respects their own person, maintaining a healthy lifestyle daily.
The first thing people notice about me
That I can speak English. :p Well...more particularly that I speak English well (not just "good" ;) ). Also, the fact that I have manners, conduct myself as a gentleman and do not swear or exercise a crude sense of of humor. These traits would seem to be a rarity in our present society.
The last book I read and enjoyed
Eve's Diary by Mark Twain. Literally, an imagined chronicle of Eve's observations of the world throughout her life. I enjoyed it because it highlights just how naive and small minded we can be when confronting the works of God, how we each need to open our minds to see His plan in the works He has done, both around us and in ourselves. It's also a love story. Some believe it is Twain's final love letter to his late wife: "Wheresoever she was, THERE was Eden."
The three things which I am most thankful for
- My faith and the moral fortitude instilled in me by my family and by God.
- My family and friends and all the support they have provided me through the years.
- My education.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
That I am pretty selfless. It's often mistaken for timidness or, the opposite of selflessness, arrogance. I hate to interrupt someone, which means that I end up offering only a few thoughts here and there between pauses when introduced to a new group. Once I get to know a group, I can read their pauses and contribute frequently...and even interrupt them. Sometimes. ;)
Friends Describe me as
Creative, Funny, Intelligent, Physically Fit
A little more about me
I'm a geeky guy looking for a geeky girl that's just as enthusiastic about the things I'm interested in as I will be in the things she's interested in. Someone I can be enthusiastic to know and can demonstrate the same for me. That seems to be an incredibly rare trait - enthusiasm - but I believe it's absolutely critical to start a healthy relationship. If you're looking at my profile and you don't feel excited about saying something to me, just go ahead hit that close button right away. It'll save both of us precious time. :)
