More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am passionate about music and art - any way I can express myself. I play flute and saxophone, I blow glass, and make a variety of types of papercraft. I also enjoy supporting other artists - live music is great, as are street fairs!

I typically spend my leisure time

In my spare time, I garden (I have a huge container garden on my patio of edibles and decorative plants), I play video games (Wii, PS3, and PC games), and I do the NYT Crossword. I also love photography (Nikon D40 with several lenses), and I combine this with my gardening skills in a gardening blog. I also love to cook, especially with the bounty from my garden!

The most influential person in my life has been

I want to meet someone for casual dating that could potentially become serious, that I can share things with - great movies, a good laugh with friends, single malt scotch...the basics :) Someone with a sense of humor, who loves going on an adventure, but also loves a good night of board games.

The first thing people notice about me

My self confidence, and my ability to make the best of and contribute to any environment that I am in.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I recently finished "Falling Leaves: The Memoir of an Unwanted Chinese Daughter", which aside from the obvious based on the title, was fascinating because of the author's optimism while growing up in a time of war and strife for the Chinese.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. I am thankful for my friends and family.
  2. I am thankful for the variety of culture and activities in the Bay Area.
  3. I am thankful for my education and confidence.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

This is a silly question. But I'm pretty funny, given the chance :)

Friends Describe me as

A little more about me

I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, so I'm a big Steelers and Pens fan. I still miss it. California seems to have a lot more adventure in store for me though, and I love it! I'm half Scottish, a quarter Irish, and a quarter German. My family knows how to eat and drink well :)I also embrace my Scorpio-ness - I am loyal and passionate in every aspect.
