More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I'm passionate about life! I love to travel and spend time outdoors. Some of my favorite activities include: camping, canoeing and rock climbing. I just completed my first backpacking trek.

I typically spend my leisure time

My leisure time is spent either relaxing (reading a book at a park or curled up on the couch), doing some active outdoor activity with friends or traveling.

The most influential person in my life has been

I know it's corny, but when it comes to my future husband, I'm looking for someone who will be my best friend. Someone who can love me for who I am while encouraging me to continue to grow as a person. I'd love someone I could laugh with one minute and have a serious conversation with the next. Someone who doesn't take life too seriously and is up for trying new things just because.

The first thing people notice about me

I'm most often complimented on my smile. I like to laugh, so I guess it's a pretty rare occasion when there's not a smile on my face.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Dismantled by Jennifer McMahon. It was a little bit of a murder mystery, but really delved into the past of the characters involved. There wasn't a point in the story where I thought I had things figured out. It left you going, "wait a minute...what?!"

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My parents. They instilled in me the importance of hard work and good values and made me who I am. They are a living example of the importance in doing what makes you happy.
  2. Past experiences (good and bad). I have no regrets, everything has shaped me into who I am.
  3. My job. I love what I do and the people I work with. Without my job I couldn't have the freedom (or funding) to do as I want.
