More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Most passionate about music. I write and record music. I do it because I love it. I have no crazy dreams about being famous with it or anything- it just makes me feel good. A lot of times I don't even talk about it to people just because it seems kind of cliche and silly to record music all the time. It really is sometime just for me and something I couldn't stop doing if I tried. I also am close to my family and friends and make sure I am a part of their lives on a weekly basis.

I typically spend my leisure time

Right now- I swim laps at a pool on Mondays and Wednesdays, play poker on Tuesdays, Bowling league on Thursdays, Play music on Fridays, go out to bar on Saturdays. Really into health right now- lifting weights and eating extremely good. I have an iPod Touch which is an incredible time waster ...but so addictive. I hate people addicted to their iPhones...but slowly becoming one of them.

The most influential person in my life has been

Needs to be an individual. I enjoy people with unique view points and senses of humor. Just being able to think for yourself ...but also being able to laugh at yourself.

The first thing people notice about me

Definitely have gotten "funny" more then any compliment in my life. Even though I realize I am not really coming off as funny in this questionnaire. I don't really blame myself...these questions aren't exactly great starting points for humor.

The last book I read and enjoyed

"The Blind Assassin" by Margaret Atwood. Great book and very cleverly written. Author has three separate narratives that ultimately come together and tell a full tale of a women's life. I enjoyed the clever plot and the simple way Atwood throws in wit and memorable lines with ease. The story is kind of depressing in that the women lives a quietly seedy life but it shows that people aren't just bad or good....normally is more complicated then that.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My overall well being. I have friends and an active social life. I am generally happy and content. I feel stable and believe I am in control of my life.
  2. Friends. I have friends that go back 10 to 20 years. Plus, have great friends at work as well. Constantly laughing throughout most days.
  3. Active mind. I am always getting into something new, reading about something, playing music, recording music, drawing, sports....anything new interests me. I am always doing something to stimulate my mind. Right now...learning how to Bowl and joined a swimming pool (lap swim). Both things I am very new at and working on improving. Also getting really into health and fitness. My main creative activity would be playing and recording music. Been doing in for 11 years and love it....

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

That I am serious. I guess serious people want to be funny and funny people want to be serious. I am very easy going and normally like to just joke around...but if someone is interested, I can be serious about a lot of things. They have to be important though. I am not likely to get into any great debate about which fast food restaurant has to best fries (Burger King).

A little more about me

Just that I think I am an interesting/nice person. I will (probably) make you laugh.
