The one thing I am passionate about...
I'll mention my top three :) Faith, family, and music. My faith is the practice of the Christian life as outlined in the New Testament. That sounds really lofty, I know, and I fail more often than I succeed, but that's the goal right? Also, I love my Church :)With my family, it really focuses on being the best dad that I can be under the circumstances. Whether we're just walking through the woods or watching Looney Tunes, I never feel as happy as when I'm with my little girl.I play a bass guitar and will hopefully have enough time soon that I can start practicing and playing in the church band. I have a real love of music :)
I typically spend my leisure time
Well, at the moment I mostly play my guitar, piddle around on the internet or watch movies, but when I have someone to hang out with it's different. I enjoy walking in the woods (weather permitting lol), trying new things, playing board games even! I'm open to doing different things and I enjoy trying to figure out what to do to have some fun. Even sitting around and just talking or having some coffee is fun with the right person :)
The most influential person in my life has been
Number one has to be their faith. I'm not looking for one of the millions of people that call themselves a "Christian" and have absolutely no desire to serve the Lord. I am perfect by no means, but my heart is true and burns for a stronger relationship with God through His son Jesus Christ. I have to be able to share that with my future wife.
The first thing people notice about me
At the moment, probably my beard lol! They just aren't very common any more :) Without the beard it's probably my easy smile. I LOVE to smile and most of the time just can't help it :)
The last book I read and enjoyed
Hmm... I don't read as much as I used to and when I do it's usually my Bible. Normally when I read now it's to my daughter.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- My relationship with God. He has brought me so far in my faith and has never given up on me. He has always been faithful to me even though I have not. Being brought up in a Christian home gave me the building blocks of salvation (at an early age) and general Bible knowledge, but my life experiences have brought me back to Him time after time. I am now, thank God, finished with running from Him. My life is His and I pray daily to be in His will for my life and to let Him fully take over. Naturally I fail and fall, but now I can get back up and continue the marathon. All the credit is His :)
- My family. My parents are awesome and very supportive of me and I can talk to my brother about anything. My daughter is now 4 years old and I couldn't ask for a better child. She is an absolute JOY to be around and people are always complimenting her to me. She's a lot like me too so she's even more lovable ;)
- My life experiences/ the man God has made me. I'm not really sure how to put this into words, but I am at the point in my life where I am perfectly happy with who I am, where I've been, and where I'm going. Of course, I have things (personally) that I need to improve on and a few regrets from the past, but the Lord has already brought me so far and will only continue to do so as long as I let Him. I like to laugh at myself a lot and make fun of the things I do, but I am really glad that He made me the way that He did; faults and all :)
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
I don't really think about it this way, but I suppose it would be my intelligence. I've noticed with some of the customers that I work with that it takes them some time to see past my carefree attitude and laughable nature to see that I'm very competent with what I do and I catch on to new things very quickly. It's funny though... never really thought about this until just now...
Friends Describe me as
Caring, Happy, Outgoing, Warm
A little more about me
I am a very affectionate person and have a strong sexual desire (by God's design), but I have committed that to God and will wait to go there again until I am married. Of all the commitments to God that I have made, this will (by FAR) be the most difficult to keep, but I have learned that it is absolutely essential to a Christ centered relationship. Not following this path leads to a lifestyle of sin (by choice). Ugh... I hate to even put this on here, but I have to be up-front and honest about it.
