More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I love my life and treasure growth and expansion, friends and health. Youth interest me, their fresh views and enthusiasm; expanding opportunities for youth is key for me. I get to do this taking inner-city kids sailing on the Bay. Creating and appreciating art is a passion. Obama became a passion this year, even though he's a little disappointing now. Promoting free and fair elections and health care. I enjoy physical activities out-of-doors, cats, dogs, snow, people, discussion, reading, li

I typically spend my leisure time

I like to hike up the hill behind my house in the city, hike Mt. Tam, walk most anywhere. I create art: ceramics and painting, and often work through life-learning concepts and growth this way. I am expanding our sailing network into more at-risk neighborhoods and meeting amazing people this way. I garden, talk with my kids on the phone while they're at Uni. Yoga and meditation ground me. I'll ski and try snowshoeing this winter.

The most influential person in my life has been

Friendly, open and generous.

The first thing people notice about me

That I glow from the inside and am easy to be around, fun and inclusive.

The last book I read and enjoyed

"Farm City" about a renegade young urban farmer in Oakland and how she made it through a year with her community supporting her in unlikely ways. Food and water are becoming major issues in the world and I loved the approach she took and her clever writing and sense of humor."How Yoga Works" a sweet story around the yoga sutras.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. health and energy to enjoy living, loving my friends and family, and making the world a better place
  2. friends, family and intimacy with my important people in the natural world, fresh, clean air and clear skies
  3. laughter, tears, spiritual and emotional aliveness and awareness shared moment-to-moment in activity, conversation and living

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

That I'm strong as well as sweet, or sweet as well as strong, depending on which side you see first!

Friends Describe me as

Creative, Energetic, Perceptive, Sweet
