The one thing I am passionate about...
I am very passionate about learning, growing, improving myself, creating a healthy lifestyle to support my body, my mind, my heart and my soul. I visualize a relationship where I can share all parts of me with my partner in a healthy, mature, evolving, interesting relationship.
I typically spend my leisure time
I read books by the dozens, both fiction and non-fiction. I like to exercise outdoors whenever possible: walking in the mountains, biking down the river trail, roller-blading. I love going to movies, or watching DVDs. I do a lot of research into subjects that interest me. I hang out with my grown children, or take my grandkids out to play. I must confess that I sometimes spend a lot of my free time on the phone discussing life and personal growth issues with family, friends or my relationship partner. I love to talk about life, about people and why they do what they do, and trying to understand us all and how we can make life work better.
The most influential person in my life has been
Kindness, good humor, desire to grow, intelligence, passion, and a commitment to being healthy. Also, you must know that you are ready for a the adventure and rewards of a committed relationship and ready to put in the work to resolve and overcome the challenges that will inevitably come up when two people join their lives together. I have a deep belief that the love, intimacy and companionship will be worth it all in the end.
The first thing people notice about me
That I am a natural 'couselor'. People feel comfortable enough with me to talk about deep or personal things that they don't usually share. Or, if they see me at a dance, that I am out on the floor all night, dancing by myself, not caring what people think and having a great time hitting my dance high.
The last book I read and enjoyed
Like I said, dozens...science fiction, romantic suspense, historical novels, legal and science thrillers, anything that catches my eye and looks like a good read. Also non-fiction: health and wellness, personal growth, memoirs, etc. Books have always been the friends that are there when people aren't...it feels like I am engaging in an interaction with the author...getting a glimpse into their ideas and deepest thoughts. Kind of like eavesdropping into their brain. I'm addicted and I admit it. The strangest and most interesting book I read lately was "The Life of Pi". Read it, you'll know what I mean. Another one: "God's Fire"
The three things which I am most thankful for
- The people in my life who I love, and who love me, care about me, and support me in my growth.
- My health that allows me to be active and involved in all the things I love about life.
- Natural beauty: sunshine, flowers, mountains, trees, fresh air, oceans, beaches, kittens, sunsets, rainbows, google...
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
How deep I am, how creative, how loving and devoted if you deserve it...a sometimes wry and sometimes absurd sense of humor, that I love to laugh and play even though I might seem overly serious at first meeting. That I blossom when someone is assertive and interested and draws me out. The smarter and more interesting and fun you are, the more of me comes out to play with you.
Friends Describe me as
Affectionate, Intelligent, Perceptive, Physically Fit
A little more about me
I have worked hard and completed certain phases of my life--raising my children, educational goals, deep personal growth--and now finding my life partner is my highest priority. I am now truly ready to create and nurture an amazing relationship with someone who is my spiritual, intellectual, and emotional match. I am standing at the beginning of a new life, and I deeply desire to design and build a life of adventure, passion and growth (and security!) with someone who is equally committed and ready. Is that someone you? Let's find out....
