More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I have a 5 year old daughter who takes up a large piece of my life and wouldn't have it any other way. With that in mind, most of the things I do outside of work are family-oriented. In the summer I enjoy water sports, primarily wakeboarding. I do enjoy getting a run in when I get some time. I love to play the guitar, but so far that alone is not magically turning me into an aficionado as fast as I'd like!

I typically spend my leisure time

I enjoy running, though I tend to run for a few months then stop for a few months and starts again (vicious cycle!) In the summer I enjoy boating. My friends and I have been wakeboarding for several years now. I also spend a lot of time just hanging out with friends -- dinners, watching sporting events, or for pretty much whatever reason we come up with!

The most influential person in my life has been

I am an optimist in just about every aspect of my life. Knowing that's how I'm wired, it's important for me to find someone who is similar. I'm not talking over-the-top rainbows and sunshine all the time!! I just don't want to hang around with "Eeyore" all the time!

The last book I read and enjoyed

Okay this is really honest... but I read a book earlier this year about astronomy (NOT astrology!!) and for some reason I thought it was really interesting!?!? It was all about black holes and "space time" and stuff... I learned some things for sure, but I think the "key learning" I took away was that there are a TON of people in this world that are way smarter than I am that figured all that stuff out!

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My daughter
  2. My family, who I am very close with
  3. My job
