More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

i am passionate about living a positive, well-rounded, healthy life. there is not one activity that pulls all of my energy or interest. i like a little of everything and am open to new experiences.

I typically spend my leisure time

i enjoy reading quite a bit. i'm usually an active person, running or going to the gym, but i go through lulls where i don't go for a while. i will never be a totally sedentary person, though. i am close with my family and love spending time with them. I go horseback riding occasionally. it was my passion as a child, but it doesn't quite fit into my adult life as much as i would like it too. horses will always hold a special place in my life. when the weather is nice (ie not 99 degrees) i like to go to the beach and sometimes surf.

The most influential person in my life has been

there is not one most important quality i am looking for. there are many. i want someone who can be my friend and my lover; someone who can teach me and learn from me. someone who affectionate without being clingy. he needs to be self-sufficient and independent. someone who will accept me for who i am and not try to change me. and i will do the same.

The first thing people notice about me

i have no idea. you'd have to ask someone who's met me. i'd like to say my laugh or my silliness, but i really can't say what other people notice about me. i'm not them.

The last book I read and enjoyed

i'll tell you the last two. the last one was the friday night knitting club. what i enjoyed the most was that it was an easy read. it was mostly realistic with only a few things being slightly over the top. i liked that it described and showed the relationships between women and how strangers can grow to be friends. the other was by maya angelou, letter to my daughter. it was a collection of essays. pretty interesting. her take on everything from her childhood, to her marriage, to her experiences around the world. she explains that she birthed only one child, a son, but nonetheless, she has many daughters--all women around the world.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. the love and support of my family
  2. that i am healthy and able-bodied
  3. a roof over my head, food in my belly, and shoes on my feet

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

that just because i look younger than i am, i'm not some little, inexperienced, naive girl. i have a brain and an opinion, and use both.

Friends Describe me as

Genuine, Intelligent, Kind, Thoughtful

A little more about me

i'm pretty simple in my needs in life. i'm not a drama queen, i like to lead as stress free a life as possible, but not at the expense of achieving my goals. life is too short to be miserable (but sometimes a good cry makes it all better).
