More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am passionate about the rights of others. I don't think anyone should be discriminated against for any reason. And to lighten that up a bit, I'm also passionate about having time to myself. In a good way of course. I really enjoy planning time to read a book or to try and complete a project.

I typically spend my leisure time

I like reading, going to movies, eating, knitting, making jewelry, taking classes, skiing, basically trying anything new. I'd love to find a new climbing partner.

The most influential person in my life has been

A sense of humor. Honesty would also be a nice second. I'm looking for the guy who admits that he doesn't exercise 27 hours a day. Come on! I'm so tired of reading those descriptions - who would have time to eat or sleep if all that working out was happening?

The first thing people notice about me

People think I'm tall. At some point I admit to being 5'6. Then we talk about my excellent posture.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I can't remember the name, and I've lent it out, but it was a collection of short stories by Amy Bloom. I was completely taken by her talent with words. It was the difference between reading a good book and reading someone who has a god-given talent putting words on the page.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My health and the health of my family members.
  2. The close relationship I have with my family and friends.
  3. That we have a new President and I feel hopeful again about the future. Sounds corny but it's true.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I can't even think of something witty to put here. I have no idea.

A little more about me

Not that I can think of.
