The one thing I am passionate about...
I am absolutely 100% passionate about my job. I love teaching and I feel it is a vocation and a gift--one that gives to me as well as to the rest of the world. I believe that mankind should create/grow/bring something better to the world and I hate seeing the misery and waste of poverty and neglect on the human soul. I think the most important parts of this life are the moments we spend sharing our journeys with the people we love. I enjoy sharing with those around me--what I've learned, cooked, seen, etc. I value family and time spent together in healthy relationships. I know it is melodramatic and sentimental, but, ah well... :)
I typically spend my leisure time
I enjoy theater, reading, cooking, doing laundry (odd, I know), spending time with family, conversation, dinner at the table, planning trips, puttering around my house, doing absolutely what I want to at the moment instead of being bound to a schedule, making lists, sleeping excessively on the weekends or taking LONG naps, wearing my pajamas all day long when I can, traveling....there are SO many ideas that come to mind, how does one think of them all? free programs at the library, heading down to the farmer's market every Saturday, sometimes making ridiculously detailed menu plans for extended periods of time, playing with my cats at 1 AM.
The most influential person in my life has been
It is really hard to name the one most important quality, but if I said that I was looking for someone who is emotionally healthy and secure on his own it would probably cover it all!
The first thing people notice about me
My laugh--hee hee hee. That's alot more humorous once you actually hear it. :) In fact, my sound effects in general are pretty humorous.
The last book I read and enjoyed
Standardized testing manuals--oh! Read AND enjoyed....well, I have a LOT of open books right now because I read all the time--it can range from Deepak Chopra to George R. R. Martin to cookbooks. I enjoy reading and it has a wide range--I pretty much never watch regular tv.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- I am thankful to have a close knit and loving family--even if they are a bit crazy.
- I am thankful to be able to feel god in a way that I can finally believe in--even though my mother thinks differently!
- I am thankful that every step in my life seems to take me on the right path.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
I'm really quite non-judgemental.
