More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am most passionate about helping others. I especially enjoy going on missions trips, I would have to say that on each one I've been on I've not wanted to come home so soon. My heart is with helping people.

I typically spend my leisure time

I love being outside!! Whether it's playing sports or just going for a walk/hike, fishing, or camping, etc I'm happy. I am also a HUGE fan of sports - I love going to watch football games, or just spending the day at the ballpark. But along with that I have a nerdy side and am just as happy in my free time to grab a book and spend the afternoon reading, go to a museum, or just go for a drive

The most influential person in my life has been

It sounds cliche but the most important quality for me is their walk with Christ. I firmly believe that if you don't have that at the center of your relationship then it's not worth the struggle. Honesty, compassion, sense of humor, someone I just generally enjoy being around, and loyalty are also big on my list....I'm new to this whole internet thing though and it's a little awkward for me. :)

The first thing people notice about me

I have been told it's my compassion for others and my eyes.

The last book I read and enjoyed

This is a tough one, I read quite a bit so it's hard to just pick one. I guess I would say I really enjoyed reading Before They Were The Packers. It's a book tracing the roots of the Green Bay Packer's town teams to where they are today, fascinating. Also Blue Like Jazz.....a refreshing outlook on the Christian Faith... Wonderful book!!I I just finished reading The Help and enjoyed it SO much...oh and any book about history (specifically military) :) And I always include Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit because they are some of my faves...geek side has arrived :)

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My family...I have the most wonderful parents anyone could ask for and 4 siblings that I just adore. Not to mention my grandparents who are two of my very best friends. I have been blessed tremendously by my family.
  2. The grace of Jesus Christ.
  3. This may sound strange but I would have to say books. :) I LOVE reading!

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

My sense of humor...my close friends would definetly call me funny but it ususally takes me a little while for that part of me to show, especially around people I'm not familiar with. I'm usually a litttle shy at first, but not for long. :)

Friends Describe me as

Dependable, Funny, Intelligent, Sweet

A little more about me

Someday I would like to spend a few months/year in Africa helping orphans and possibly teaching English. I also love to travel and wish I could do it more. Oh, and I know it's kinda strange for a girl but I'm pretty much obsessed with football. Literally. I LOVE IT.
