The one thing I am passionate about...
It's hard to limit it to one thing. Everyone says that they are most passionate about their children (or they should), but beyond the obvious, I am most passionate about writing and literature of all sorts. Without writers, where would we be? For TV addicts, they'd have no shows to watch!
I typically spend my leisure time
reading, writing, biking, exercising, movies
The most influential person in my life has been
Kindness, pure and simple. Without kindness, nothing else matters.
The first thing people notice about me
My friendliness/sense of humor.
The last book I read and enjoyed
The Tender Bar. It was a memoir written by a Long Island native who grew up in the 60s and 70s with an absent father, and found his "home" with men, including his uncle, who worked at or frequented the neighborhood bar in Manhasset, Long Island, who adopted him and supported his dreams,m while his mother did her level best to push him, with love and conviction, to never give up. He later graduated from Yale and won a Pulitzer prize for journalistic excellence, and his memoir was a New York Times notable book. The story follows him from early childhood through 9/11, when over 50 local folks died, but the book is about hope realized.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- my children
- my health
- my faith
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
What a great kisser I am. Ha ha ha. Seriously, that despite my gray hair, I am very youthful in my outlook and full of energy.
Friends Describe me as
Intelligent, Passionate, Physically Fit, Romantic
A little more about me
I must warn you that I can be habit-forming. In a good way!
