More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

continuing to try new things. I love my job as a teacher, but now I'm pursuing a Master's degree to take that to the next level. I love hiking, and I'm looking to salvage my weekends to hike the 4,ooo footers in the White Mountains! I climbed Mt. Washington for the first time last year--I think that took a lot of passion, too!

I typically spend my leisure time

Reading, learning to cook, trying to teach myself Spanish and remember my French, planning travels, poking around on the internet, riding my horse, wandering around, hiking, acting in plays, hanging with friends...

The most influential person in my life has been

Inspiration! I would like to be with a person who is kind and honest and loyal, but I imagine that's what most people want. I also want someone who can inspire me, a person I can respect and who can respect me, too! However, I don't want a person who's really into all the people he knows and the impressive places he's been to school and the money he makes. I want a person who can feel free to be himself, and hopefully the "himself" he is can still be engaging!

The first thing people notice about me

My voice. A lot of people seem to think I'm Canadian, or Irish, or English. Don't know why!

The last book I read and enjoyed

I just reread "9 Stories" by J.D. Salinger. Some of them are my favorites. I love the way he writes so tenderly, but isn't sappy in any way. His humor is wonderful!

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My friends and family (cliched though it may be)
  2. Having had the opportunity to travel and have a horse and be generally middle class
  3. Having a job that I love

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I might come off as reserved, but I can be a little wild!
