More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Abuse and injustice. I'm really low-key and easy-going so it takes a lot to make me feel strongly. I would quickly jump to the aid of a person of any age who was being abused or wronged in any way. I would not stand by and watch. I guess I'm a good samaritan by nature. I imagine this could be dangerous for me if I lived in an environment where this happened a lot. but I don't. I cry when I hear about things like Darfur but I know that the perpetrators will have to answer to God and their victims suffering is only a moment in eternity. Even though I know this it still makes me sad. So I support causes like Amnesty International.

I typically spend my leisure time

I really enjoy working with my hands it can be gardening or crafts or just about anything. I like a good movie complete with popcorn and sometimes to sit and just do nothing when the rest of my time gets packed with activity.

The most influential person in my life has been

Devotion. I would love to have one of those relationships where two people become so close they don't ever have to consider that the other isn't completely devoted to them.

The first thing people notice about me

I must be insecure. I don't think people notice me at all. When they do I'm never sure if its because of something good or bad.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Blink. It was a sort of research book about how most of our best opinions are made in the first 15 seconds and how the research supports this. So we should more often go with our initial gut feelings instead of over-analyzing everything.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My faith. Nothing is as bad when viewed from an eternal perspective. It gives me peace.
  2. My family. I know that they will always be there for me if I ever need them. They give me joy.
  3. My health. I seldom get sick and feel blessed because those around me aren't as healthy as I am.
