More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I love skiing in the winter, reading when I have free time, taking my dog for walks, eating out and trying different foods, traveling, day hikes, spending time with friends and family, trying new things (haven't tried rock climbing yet and I want to go on a hot air balloon ride one day--most of my close friends are afraid of heights so these two things have been a tough sell!), and playing the piano.

I typically spend my leisure time

I love to ski in the winter. I was able to go to Colorado for a week this past winter and would love to plan a ski trip every year!If given some time by myself, I really enjoy reading a good book or playing the piano. I find both relaxing.Planning trips to catch up with friends. My closest friends have scattered across the country over the past few years, so we spend alot of time narrowing down when everyone can get together for our annual trip to whereever. The company is good so the location really isn't that important!

The most influential person in my life has been

The first thing people notice about me

I laugh alot

The last book I read and enjoyed

My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult. This book is about 2 sisters: one who is sick and the other one was conceived to be a genetic match for transplants, stem cells, etc to save the ill sister. It is told from the perspective of the healthy sister who tries to "divorce" herself from her family to be responsible to make her own medical decisions at the expense of her sister's health. There is a twist at the end. Hard book to put down.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My family for their unwavering love, support, and encouragement through good times and bad.
  2. My closest friends who know me better than anyone and still love me-- quirks and all!
  3. My health

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I think I come across as quiet initially so sometimes people seem surprised when I offer an opinion on something and I am more assertive then they anticipated.

Friends Describe me as

Dependable, Good listener, Loyal, Optimistic
