More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

These are in no particular order: health (personal and our planet's), spending time with friends and family, nutrition/cooking, traveling, new experiences, teaching, beautiful things (from sleek design to folk art), wildflowers, hiking, live performances, animals (from worms to whales), yoga, nature

I typically spend my leisure time

I enjoy good food in good company, be it in a restaurant or in someone's kitchen. I am very committed to my physical health so I typically do some form of physical exercise every day. There are times when I enjoy doing absolutely nothing or perhaps daydreaming, napping, soaking in the tub ...

The most influential person in my life has been

If I am truly limited to just one most important quality, I will say "openess". However, equally important to me are having compassion, being optimistic, having a sense of adventure and humor, as well as being curious, health-conscious, and affectionate.

The first thing people notice about me

My accent. (Hint: I grew up speaking german, but I am not from Germany.)

The last book I read and enjoyed

"Alice Waters and Chez Panisse" is about Alice Waters who opened a unique restaurant in Berkely, CA in the early 70s, called Chez Panisse. The restaurant's uniqueness came from the, at the time, novel idea of incorporating as much locally grown and organic food as possible into the menu. I love the book because Ms. Waters' views mirror my own about our eating culture.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Friends and family
  2. Health
  3. Opportunities to grow intellectually, spiritually, and emotionally

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I am easy to talk to.

Friends Describe me as

Caring, Dependable, Energetic, Optimistic

A little more about me

No, I think for now this is enough.
