The one thing I am passionate about...

I typically spend my leisure time
Reading(mysteries, histories, thrillers, classics, some biographies, fluff, historical Naval and Military adventure, romances(I can dream, can't I?);Attempting artistic endeavors in many mediums; Gardening(forgot that before); Staring at the water and wishing I were on or in it; Cooking/Baking; Fantasizing about travel; That's more than 2 but what the hell.
The most influential person in my life has been
That sense of 'Safe Harbor', no matter the Storm
The first thing people notice about me
I like to feed people
The last book I read and enjoyed
The most recent, since I haven't finished 'reading' yet, was Lee Child's "Nothing To Lose", one of an ongoing series featuring 'Jack Reacher', an ex-military cop, who cleans up other people's messes. For a Brit to have found such a strong and real American 'voice' is remarkable. To like what could have been a totally unlikeable character is miraculous. I am on the list at the library for the next one.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- Being able to find value in people, places & things that aren't necessarily "perfect", a la mode, or P.C.
- Still having control of my senses and abilities, even though they're not as prime as they were, and it takes me longer to accomplish something or get somewhere.
- A hunger for learning, seeing, doing, experiencing LIFE, especially wanting to travel, though I'd need to win the Lottery first. There's just so much OUT there!
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
That I'm more interesting than I look.
Friends Describe me as
Creative, Generous, Kind, Sweet
A little more about me
I'm opinionated but will accept others' views as long as they don't try to shove them down my throat. I can be bossy, and tend to 'teach', but am always willing to 'learn'. I love to talk about those things that interest me most and can go on a bit but will stop if your eyes glaze over. Maybe. I always give the benefit of the doubt until proven, solidly, otherwise.
