More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am passionate about water sports. I swim open water and have completed several swims including Alcatraz, Lake Tahoe, Lake Washington, and several others. I also love horses and ride whenever I can. I ride my bike and walk for exercise daily. My main focus is to get through nursing school which takes up much of my time. After I graduate in the spring, I will have more time to pursue adventures. I want to scuba dive, can't wait to visit Turkey, and get back into sailing.

I typically spend my leisure time

I don't have much leisure time. I love to read books of my choice, taking naps, exercising.

The most influential person in my life has been

That person will be kind, and compassionate. Politically they will be at least middle of the road and lean toward the left.

The first thing people notice about me

I am a good listener. While listening I pay attention to how I am feeling toward them. My intuition at work.

The last book I read and enjoyed

The River of Doubt. A story about Roosevelt's trip down the Amazon. I loved his spirit of adventure. I could relate to his tenacity.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. I had a good upbringing. My parents had strong values and morals which were passed on to me. From that I have a sense of myself and feel that my outlook on events that happen around me have meaning. I have a positive outlook and have an awareness that we all struggle.
  2. My sobriety of ten years has allowed me to grow spiritually which helps me to accept and thrive from lessons presented. My quest is personal. I don't foist my beliefs on others. I try to live consciously, in the moment, and am always ready for the next adventure.
  3. I have been blessed with great health. As a nursing student who works in a hospital, I help sick people and am grateful for the opportunity to be there for someone else. I could not do this without being aware of my strengths and weaknesses. I take care of myself through exercise, good nutrition, being a "forever student", and hang out with others who are like-minded.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I appreciate authenticity. I am comfortable in my own skin. I'm looking for someone who is striving to be the best for themselves. If we are meant to be, it will happen.

Friends Describe me as
