More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

All kinds of things... reading, the environment, health, cooking, travel. Also science and medicine, which are fascinating to me, but I can get really into whatever project I have going at any given time. Sometimes it's planning a party or planning a trip, but can be anything.

I typically spend my leisure time

I love to get out for a long bike ride when I can find the time, but it doesn't happen as often as I'd like. Much more often, I go for a run for exercise and get on my bike to get around town. I also love to cook and bake. If anyone is having a birthday, I always make a cake... but on an everyday basis I usually throw something together for my own dinner.

The most influential person in my life has been

At this point, I think I'm most looking for someone who I'm really compatible with as a friend. I'd like to meet someone who is fun to hang out with and who enjoys doing the same things that I do.

The first thing people notice about me

Hmmm, I have no idea.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I actually just finished Jane Eyre. It took me a while to get through, since the rest of my life has been busy, but it was a fantastic escape whenever I got time to pick it up. The amount of description in Victorian books can get tedious, but it can also be wholly absorbing, and I loved it.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My family.
  2. My friends. Knowing good people is important to me, and although many of my friends live far away and I may not see them often, they are all all important to me. I feel fortunate to know so many amazing and interesting people.
  3. Beauty in the world. Music, art, nature, etc. I love to stop and appreciate things that are beautiful in the world.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

My sense of humor. I like to be silly and wacky sometimes, and people have been surprised at me when I say silly things... I guess they don't expect it.
