The one thing I am passionate about...
I have a few things that I'm passionate about, but right now I'mprobably most passionate about good food and cooking. I love creating a dish from scratch and sharing it with friends and family. I'mconstantly trying out new recipes and I try to make something new atleast once a week. I also extend this passion into discovering newspecialty grocery stores, farmer's markets, and restaurants in the Bay Area.
I typically spend my leisure time
Cooking and eating out tend to top this list. Occasionally, you'll also find me hiking, spending time with family, playing a board game or just BBQing with friends, attempting to further my photography hobby, and screaming at my TV when the 49ers are losing (been losing my voice a lot the past few years). I'm also an avid moviegoer and help lead a local movie group with some friends. When not doing any of those (most weeknights), I'm home enjoying some downtime with a good book, TV, or iTunes.
The most influential person in my life has been
Other than the obvious answers such as chemistry and honesty, the most important quality I'm looking for in a person is someone who has a passion for life, whether it be directed towards their career, hobbies, or just experiencing new things. While it would be great for us to share a few interests, I'd really like to be in a relationship where we both introduce each other to new things and experiences. Oh, you also have to be willing to test out my many kitchen experiments. :)
The first thing people notice about me
That I'm already trying to make them laugh.
The last book I read and enjoyed
Billions and Billions, by Carl Sagan. In it, Sagan gives very insightful commentary on many controversial subjects including global warming, abortion, religion vs. science, and many more. In the last chapter, Sagan gives his thoughts on death as he struggled with his own fatal disease. I picked this book up expecting some insightful reading, but didn't expect it to also be as moving as it was. Great book.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- Growing up and living in the Bay Area
- The opportunities I've had to travel.
- Having a rewarding and stable job, especially in this economy.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
That I can be a very easy person to talk to openly. I really value openness and honesty when communicating with others.
