More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Gardening, interior design, cooking, recycling, anything outdoors, singing, home repair(or sometimes attempts at repair) and learning anything new that is hands-on. Love to spend time with my nieces. It gives me the excuse to be silly.

I typically spend my leisure time

Spending time with friends or family, working in my yard or on home improvement projects and enjoying a nice glass of wine or a cold beer on a hot day. I also like to go to "pub" type bars and listen to live music (haven't done that in a long while due to being new to the area).

The most influential person in my life has been

I would have to say just an overall enjoyment of life. You can't take yourself too seriously. Life's too short.

The first thing people notice about me

I don't know. I've never asked anyone. That's a tough question, I'll need to think about it or distribute a survey. (That would probably be weird). ;)

The last book I read and enjoyed

Haven't had much time for reading lately. Do instruction manuals count? Update: Just finished a book by Lisa Gardner called "Say Goodbye". Very disturbing chiller. Actually kept me up at night thinking about it. Spiders, serial killer and child molester. Need I say more?

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. That I have a family that loves me and cares for me unconditionally.
  2. That I have the ability to provide for myself and the skills to maintain my home.
  3. For my dog that makes me smile and is a loyal companion.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I have to be the "enforcer" at work, so I think most people don't realize how easygoing and fun loving I am until they get to know me on a personal level. I love to laugh and make others laugh. The more tense the situation at work the more I try to find the humor in it.

Friends Describe me as

Affectionate, Caring, Dependable, Funny

A little more about me

It's somewhat comforting to know that I'm not alone in this "challenge" of finding the "one". I have been skeptical of on-line dating, but know many people that have met this way. So here I am. Best of luck to us all!!
