More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

politics, current events, learning new things, open and in-depth discussions, exploring new places, pets

I typically spend my leisure time

watching good films, reading, outdoor activities (skiing, hiking, running), cultural events, dining out, playing with my dog

The most influential person in my life has been

empathy for those who are different, friendship with and kindness toward the person they choose to love, partnership in facing life, sharing adventures and interpreting the world with another person

The first thing people notice about me

my sense of humor

The last book I read and enjoyed

Proust was a Neuroscientist - a book about the brain and famous literature/philosophy (neither of which I understand very well, but I still find them interesting)

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My ability and desire to be healthy and active.
  2. The fact that I love and am able to do my job.
  3. Living in such a beautiful area of the country.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

my creativity, or at least my desire to be creative

A little more about me

I work in an area of medicine that few people understand - taking care of people recovering from addictions. My life is devoted to caring for them, explaining the science behind the things they go through, helping them get sober with dignity, and advocating politically for their rights as patients.
