The one thing I am passionate about...
I am passionate about my faith, and good music that makes you feel something when you hear it; Mostly old-school r&b from the 80s and early 90s. I was in a high school and college band, and im in a band sorority that I joined in college. So as one can clearly see, music has played a very influential part in my life.
I typically spend my leisure time
I enjoying reading a good book when I find the time, or going out and spending time with my sister, and/or with some of my closest sorority friends.
The most influential person in my life has been
Simply put, I'm looking for a Man of God. Someone who knows his Bible, and more importantly knows his God. I cant have a man that is not deeply rooted in his faith, it just wont work for what I am trying to do with my life. I also need a guy that is driven by whatsoever he is passionate about, and one who has a sense of humor. He must be able to laugh and roll with the punches of life, and be serious enough to throw a couple punches back at life too. I don't want him to be the best at everything, I just want him to be the best "him" that HE can be.
The first thing people notice about me
People tend to notice my heart. I have a big heart, I love to help people in need, and Im just an all around kind-hearted person. I have never had a single enemy in my entire life, and don't plan on making any. Life is way too short to be mad, or to stay mad. Anger leads to stress, and I aim to be stress-free.
The last book I read and enjoyed
Think Like a Man, Act Like a Lady by Steve Harvey. The movie was coming out and its a SIN for me to see a movie without reading the book first! Its sort of like a self-help book for women, in learning how to deal with men. It gives relationship advice, and is an over all good read for women. I liked the fact that he used his personal life as examples and wasn't afraid to open up to the public. His hardships in his personal relationship has helped millions of others, and I can applaud him for that. How can I not?
The three things which I am most thankful for
- I am thankful for my ability to get along with just about anyone. I have very few enemies, if any at all. I enjoy making the ones I'm around laugh, and meeting new people.
- I am thankful for my loving family and having them as such a great support system. I am truly blessed.
- I am thankful for my health, my faith, and for my relationship with our lord and saviour Jesus Christ.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
I have a happy-go-lucky demeanor most of the time. My ability to be the "funny" one by always making light of certain situations, tends to make people think that I'm not serious, when I actually am aiming to be serious. Yes, I can be funny, and I say things obviously wrong by use of satire, but that doesn't mean that I cant be serious at times. My shyness tends to throw people for a loop as well when I'm not in my element. I can adapt pretty well to most any situation, which is why most don't notice my shyness right at first.
