More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am most passionate about my nieces. I am extremely active in their lives and I love watching them turn into beautiful, confident girls!!

I typically spend my leisure time

Working out, dinner/time with friends, driving/exploring areas I'm not familiar with, reading, watching sports. I really enjoy the Milwaukee area and taking part in the many activities (fests, theatre, sporting events, boating). Also, I am running my first 5k this fall, so am spending a good amount of time training for that event.

The most influential person in my life has been

Honesty and communication......it's so important in any relationship.

The first thing people notice about me

My laugh....I've been told it's very infectious!

The last book I read and enjoyed

"The Virgin of Small Plains." It's a murder mystery that takes place in a small rural town in Iowa. It flashes from present to past, and I love books like that! It's an interesting read and I didn't figure it out until the end!I'm also in the middle of "The Shack" and am really enjoying it. It's about a father who's angry with God because his daughter was abducted and killed. God invites him to the shack where the murder took place, and attempts to restore the father's faith. A soul opening book!!!

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Family - As I get older, I realize how lucky I am to have amazing parents who created a positive childhood and who continue to be supportive.
  2. Health - Too many people are being diagnosed with serious illnesses lately, so I'm extremely thankful for my good health.
  3. Stability - I am fortunate to be in a stable career that allows me to continue to live the life I want. Many folks are not as fortunate these days.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

My caring personality. I can be direct at times, and that sometimes leads people to believe that I'm not a caring person. Couldn't be further from the truth.

Friends Describe me as

Dependable, Easy-Going, Funny, Genuine

A little more about me

I am a high school teacher by trade and taught in AZ for two years and MN for one in the mid-90s. I do miss the kids and often think of getting back into education in some capacity.

Sports I enjoy watching

Football, Golf, Track and Field
