More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I'm passionate about Jesus, encouraging people in their faith and simply being an overcomer! Plus to be honest, I am quite passionate about shoes and purses. So I guess mainly it's "Jesus, shoes and purses".

I typically spend my leisure time

I love going on walks, reading. Recently I went back packing with some friends on a short 3 day trip. I loved it! I hope to do more of that in this year. I also enjoy just hanging out with a few friends for dinner or a evening at the beach with the gang.

The most influential person in my life has been

A good man willing to walk with God & me through the good and bad times in life. Faithful and steadfast.

The first thing people notice about me

That I'm pretty warm and welcoming. I believe I put people at ease.

The last book I read and enjoyed

The Shack was one that I continued to think about long after I read it. I like the way in which it simplified what trusting God is, especially in the dark times. I felt a sense of how near God is and how much He understands our pain, even when we don't understand all the "why's". other books - Crazy love -Chan, a walk in the woods - Bryson, full life in Christ - Murray. Any and all Andrew Murray books are excellent. Other books - "The Great Divorce" I read it once a year. Everyone should read it at least once.Recently - been reading Crazy love, The Principle of the Path, Streams in the Dessert.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. I am thankful that I serve a God who loves and rescues his children. He has proven Himself to me and He is my first love. I'm not what I started out as. He is very in the process of my life. He has and does work all things together for the good for those who love Him. And I truly love Him. I'm thankful anything is possible and that there is always hope.
  2. I'm thankful for creative outlets in my life. I love dance and theater. The opportunities I have to use those outlets always prove worthwhile and satisfying.
  3. I'm thankful for friends and family that love me. I have a precious group of friends that are truly accepting and a joy to be part of their worlds. I'm thankful for those sweet moments with friends that go from total laughter to profound conversations. It maybe more of a girl thing. But I do love emotions!

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

A little more about me

I'm far more on the creative/artsy side of things. I love Acting, Dance, writing, etc. I enjoy the outdoors and hope to pursue more hiking in the future. I'm afraid to say I'm not a big sports fan. But I really am okay with it! Fortunately I am pretty easy going and can endure watching a game on occassion.
