The one thing I am passionate about...
I am passionate about a lot, especially learning new things. Inside, I'm passionate about my faith and values, but I'm still figuring a lot of that out and want someone to discuss with me. Activity-wise, I love outdoorsy stuff, watching sports, walking and talking, going to the beach, and using my annual passes to all the theme parks here. I also spend a lot of discretionary income on travel as much as possible, but always look for the best deal. Nothing excites me like a great deal--best bang for the buck wherever possible! Ultimately, my family will be what I am most passionate about. But first things first... :-)
I typically spend my leisure time
During downtimes, when I have the energy, I like to feel accomplished. This can take the form of doing some things around the house, going out for some good exercise, or learning something new. When I have less energy, I crash at home, talk, watch movies or surf the internet. Whatever I'm doing, I ALWAYS have music on.
The most influential person in my life has been
Of course there are lots of things, but I think primarily I am looking for someone who is genuinely loving. I know that love doesn't blanket everything, but it surely helps when you have a strong foundation of love, affection and trust.
The first thing people notice about me
I'd have to say my confidence and my sarcastic sense of humor.
The last book I read and enjoyed
Technically, I haven't finished it, but I'm working on "Ten Million Steps". It's about an older guy who documents his journey hiking from the Florida Keys to Quebec, Canada... 4,400 miles of walking that took eleven straight months to complete. What's absolutely fascinating is the inner reflections generated by that much alone time, as well as the interactions he had along the way. I really just expected it to be very "travelogue" but it's been so much deeper than that, from the very first page. His writing isn't the best, but the stories are unbelieveable.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- My family
- How fortunate we are each day
- eHarmony's 29 dimensions! :-)
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
That confident people have feelings underneath too! Inside, I'm a softie, but sometimes people interpret confidence as arrogance, and it's not that at all.
