More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

I am passionate about nature, animals, & my family. (Tree-hugging dirt-worshiper describes me well). At one time I was also passionate about martial arts. I am planning on joining my old karate school again to start back up where I left off.

I typically spend my leisure time

I enjoy reading, watching movies, & listening to live music. I help my mom with her renovation projects & I enjoy singing karaoke with my dad. I also enjoy going out to support my younger brother when he plays with his band.

The most influential person in my life has been

There are many qualities I find important, such as kindness, honesty, & respecting others. Having a sense of humor & being able to laugh easily is a plus too.

The first thing people notice about me

People notice that I'm an easy-going, no-drama, small town kind of girl. I like to keep things simple & I love to laugh.

The last book I read and enjoyed

I just finished "The Search" by Nora Roberts. I'll read just about anything, but I really like Nora Roberts. Her books usually have a strong female character with a murderer on the loose after her...but this one also had the main character as a search & rescue dog trainer. Now I want to walk my dogs more (I have been slack), & it's also got me interested in calling my Red Cross to find out about Emergency Preparedness classes, haha. Now I'm going to start on the book "The Confession" by John Grisham...

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. I am thankful for my family & that I am able to spend a lot of time with them.
  2. I am thankful that I have a job that allows me to make a difference in someone's life.
  3. I am thankful to have good friends that accept me for who I am.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

When it comes to people I don't know well, I'm shy & I may not say much at first. People have told me later they thought I was "aloof"(but not for long)...I wish people didn't take my shyness as being disinterested. I'm just taking in their vibe & personality & listening for what we have in common.
