The one thing I am passionate about...
Travel, animals, and adventure. I try to seize every opportunity, because I'm passionate about experiencing everything I can. I love staying up to speed on current events and history, and I think healthy debates are fun. My biggest passion is animal causes, but I'm not an animal rights extremist. I genuinely want to make the world a better place. The words are over-used, but it's honestly what I love to do.
I typically spend my leisure time
Travel, especially spontaneous travel--the lay-on-the-beach kind, the tour-around-and-learn kind, and everythng in between. I also spend time helping worthy causes, seeing family or friends, working (I know, it's a sickness), and organizing, plus home improvement projects are up there. I'll admit that I have 2 speeds: 100 miles an hour or completely stopped. I also workout at least 3 times a week and have learned to like running.
The most influential person in my life has been
Beyond the typical values most people seek (integrity, respect, etc.) and similar interests to mine, I'd like to find someone that is funny, fun, adventurous, ambitious, and high energy. I like to work hard and play hard, and I like others with these qualities too. I like a man that feels comforable in a suit, but also can dress-down for things like camping. That's more than just one quality I'm looking for, but hey, I know what I want. =0)
The first thing people notice about me
The first thing? Hmmm. I am always interested in how others are doing. I tend to carry a bit of workplace stress around, which observant people will pick up on. I'm usually upbeat and I love to laugh. I'm also really curious and ask a lot of questions. I wonder why? =0)
The last book I read and enjoyed
Oh geez. I can't remember the last book I read. The last thing I read was an online article. Sometimes a magazine. I read up on news and current global issues quite a bit, but I generally can't sit still long enough to read a book.
The three things which I am most thankful for
- Unquestionably my family, friends, pets, and the great people I work with.
- Being able to contribute to important charities, particularly mainstream animal causes, where I feel like I'm needed the most.
- A good education and career that has given me a million opportunities including fabulous friendships, international travel, great fun, and some accomplishments I'm proud of.
The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me
I am intelligent, but that's not always apparent initially for a couple of reasons. 1) I don't want people to think I'm a know-it-all (can't stand people like that). 2) I'm a natural blonde. 3) I'm sometimes a bit slow at figuring things out, or maybe gullable is the better way to put it. People that like to playfully tease others have a field day with me, and I actually quite enjoy laughing about the stupid things I've fallen for. Most people say I'm "sweet", but I also have a bit of a wild side. I tend to disguise it well, but take me to Vegas and watch what happens.

A little more about me
I pretty much intend to contribute to worthy causes, mainly animal causes, indefinitely. Of course if I have the opportunity to have a family, my level of involvement with them will have to change, but for now, I'm doing some sort of volunteering or going to some effort for a charity at least once a week. I still thoroughly enjoy doing other stuff purely for fun, but I squeeze in something for the greater good on a regular basis. I'm such a fortunate person, and it makes me so happy to help others, so it has become a way of life for me.
