More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Growing in knowledge of the Lord and sharing His Good News with those who don't know Christ. Creative arts. Reading. Outdoor activities (i.e. running, biking, hiking, cross-country skiing). Natural health. Writing/Journaling. Encouragement. Developing and investing in real Christ-centered relationships. Meeting new people. Networking. Learning about natural health.

I typically spend my leisure time

Spending time in physical activities (i.e running, biking, hiking, sledding :) ). Reading. Developing and engaging in authentic fellowship with close friends. Writing encouragement cards and creating small meaningful gifts for friends. Creating fun projects for decor around the house or a gift for a friend.

The most influential person in my life has been

The most important quality that I am looking for in another person is that they are a born-again believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. I am desiring a man who is serious about his relationship with Christ and the things of the Lord.

The first thing people notice about me

This is tough as I am the one from the inside looking out. One of the first things that comes to mind is my sincerity and genuine interest in them and what may interest them. I try to be attentive in conversation and show both verbally as well as non-verbally genuine interest in them.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Out of the Saltshaker was one of the recent books that I have had my nose in. It was about evangelism as a lifestyle. There are several things that I have really appreciated about the book and was particularly challenged in a few areas. One of those areas was that I often cover up my struggles in order to "enhance" ministry to my family (and unbelieving) loved ones; the opposite more often than not is true that being vulnerable is such an open door to ministry and sharing the Gospel.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Jesus' saving work in my life.
  2. Supportive and Gospel-centered church community.
  3. Strong, genuine, and sharpening friendships with close friends.

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

This too is a tough question but there is something that comes to mind in reading this. I can be quite goofy and silly at times and that doesn't always come through in meeting people right away.
